God wants His children to be believers, not beggars. Jesus said, "Ask and you shall receive." The word 'ask' here doesn't mean begging, but asking for what belongs to you. Every Promise of God is a YES and a YES and a YES in Christ Jesus..... This is why the prayer, "God if it is Your will, heal me" is WRONG!! Because God has declared that He has already healed you.
